My Sleek Haul

Hello everyone,

How are you all doing?? M great n having fun with parties.. I've been very busy these days so took a break from blogging.. But back with a new haul.. 

I bought awesome sleek products.. U can buy them online since it's a UK brand n availability is a great issue in India.. I've ordered them online from their official site. But I had a terrible experience.. I got the order after 3months.. It got 2 times re dispatched.. Finally the third time it got delivered.. They gave me a tracking shipment as a token of sorry .. 

Usually they do not have a tracking shipment method.. The only free delivery method was Royal Mail which can take 25 days to deliver.. But finally I got them.. Even though I thought I would never get my order I did not loose hope ;) 

I refused to take a refund of money , I told them to re dispatch again n again n finally got my stuff. Here's a sneak peak.. I will review them one by one.. N no doubt the wait was worth it.. They are amazingggggg palettes.. M in loveee :* with them..

Here are the amazing three palettes.. Two of them are blush palettes in three which has three blushes.. N the third one is face form in fair which is a face countering palette with a blush.. M too impressed with the pigmentation n packaging.. Yes they are actually sleek.. :D

I no I've put up images very badly but I promise to review them as beautiful as they are, after all they deserve dat love :p I've been absent since a week on the blogging that's y posting this in hurry.. But reviews will b soon n better..

MUA LUXE Velvet Lip Lacquer- Kooky & Funck Review n Swatches

Hw ru people doing..? M feeling very lazy in these cozy winters.. Anyways let's get back to work. Here's the review of MUA's newly launched LUXE collection picks..

These are named as mua luxe velvet lip lacquer.. It comes in 5 shades.. Atomic is an orange red shade, reckless red is a deep red shade , criminal is the shade I was dying to buy but it's out of stock on the site, it's a bright pink shade n the shade is a dupe of mac candy yum yum.. 

The shades I chose are Kooky which is a bold plum shade.. It's. A dark purple n I don't thnk many people can carry such a dark shade.. Takes lotta courage.. N the other shade is Funk which is a beautiful fuscia pink.. M in love with this shade..

So let's start the review,

Price: 3£ which is about 306 rupees in India.. Highly cheap..

Product claims:

Packaging:

I loved the packaging .. It comes in a tube with a black screw wand with its label imprinted in gold... The best part about the tube is that it's a total matte finish tube. This makes it stand out the matte feature this special lacquers posses.. I love matte lipsticks.. These are usually referred as dupes for Lime Crime velvetines which are very high brand product n costs about 10 times more than these tubes for about 13£ ..

My thoughts on the product:

These cheaply priced lip lacquers are amazing.. M really exited to share my experience with u all.. These lacquers are matte textured but not extreme matte or dry . They are highly pigmented n extremely long lasting.. They don't easily come off with makeup removing lotions too. N that may last long. 

The packaging also looks elegant and more expensive that it is. When you apply them on the lips  they do look glossy but after a  minute they dry to a matte finish.

The formula and pigmentation is amazing when compared to the price. It applies smoothly without leaving any streaks or uneven color patch. They last long and of course doesn't bleed or transfer if its not wet. If you touch both of your lip before its completely dry then it crumbles. 

Another thing I noticed, the more heavily you apply it more it tends to crumble. So Apply quickly with light hand in one or max two quotes.. They usually flakes of in the centre of the lips after your food but only if it's oily..  So touch ups are required.. But I don't mind if I spent only 3£ on this product.. 

Now coming to the shades:

Kooky:

It's a dark purple shade, plum are usually not preferred by many specially such darker plum.. people usually call this shade as vampy.. but this shade can b build up.. In one Application it gives lighter shade n can b build by applying two layers n make dark.. N it's a rare shade which I find in a few high end brands like mac .. So definitely if u want a bold shade then try this.. Surprisingly looks good on me n I think both the shades I picked goes great on fair to dusky skin tones.. 

Funk:

Funk is a bright pink shade and by far my favorite for autumn/winter. It is darker than Criminal and in my opinion much better suited for this time of year. Goes well with fair to dusky skin tones. This pink is trending a lot these days n this can b pulled of in summer as well as it's bright n looks fresh. This shade instantly brightens your complexion n gives your face a fresh look.. M in love with this shade..

Overall, it delivers more than my expectations when compared to the price.. So overall definitely a must must have product.

Cons:

Flakes in the centre after having oily food.

The product is quite good quantity , n if at all I finish it then I will surely purchase it.. 

MUA haul

I've recently placed an order on MUA's official website n they got delivered today.. So m posting u the products I got.. Will only post the pics n will review them soon one by one..

I placed the order on 12th December n got it delivered today.. I was charged shipping charges too but they have made free shipping from now , lucky u all who ever buy these awesome products from the site..

They have launched new collection called MUA Luxe.. So I purchased two shades from Luxe velvete lip lacquer n they are mind blowing.. I missed one lovely pink shade, that was out of stock.. 

Finally completed my nude collection by buying all three neutral palettes .. I had Heaven And Earth n now I purchased these two called Undressed And Undress Me Too.. M v happy with the fact that these two also has matte shades.. These two palettes are known as the dupes for UD Naked n Naked 2 palettes..

Bath & Body Works Stress Relief Eucalyptus Spearmint Body Lotion Review

Today m gonna review a body lotion which claims to relieve the stress.. Sounds interesting right?? Stress is a part of everybody's life n so is mine.. M a great lover of invigorating fragrances like eucalyptus or tea tree or spearmint.. I got sold when I read stress relief lotion with eucalyptus !! So let's start with the review..

Price: 13$ for 192ml, 1000rs/- for 192 ml from jabong.com

Ingredients:

Product claim:

Ultra-creamy, nourishing body lotion is formulated to give skin long-lasting moisture while an aromatherapy blend of natural ingredients and essential oils benefit body, mind & mood. Breath deeply for best results.

Eucalyptus essential oil clears the mind while Spearmint Essential Oil uplifts to help improve concentration.

Not tested on animals.

How to use:

Smooth over body to moisturize and lightly fragrance skin.

Packaging:

The product comes in a classy looking green glass bottle with a black screw pump up dispenser. It's easy to pump the required product but the glass bottle isn't travel friendly.. The bottle can break as it is made up of glass so isn't travel friendly.. All though I don't mind until it provides good service for what it is being used for..

My thoughts on the product:

As I love strong fragrances with refreshing fragrance this lotion made me happy with its first impression by its fragrance. The lotion isn't thick in consistency nor very watery .. It's perfect as a lotion in its consistency.

This starts out a bit strong with the eucalyptus but quickly tones down a bit. This leaves a fresh scent on my skin that last pretty long but fades to very subtle soft fragrance. 

It's Fortified with powerful ingredients like super conditioning Shea Butter which gives good moisture to the skin ,fast absorbing Jojoba Oil which penetrates into the skin n heals the moisture n keeps skin hydrated for a long time and protective Vitamin E which has several benefits to it.

This body lotion gives your skin long-lasting moisture.  It contains eucalyptus essential oil to clear the mind, while spearmint essential oil will soothe your senses. Eucalyptus essential oil clears the mind while Spearmint Essential Oil uplifts to help improve concentration. This is perfect for the students at the time of studies n also before you go to bed. I personally apply this lotion before m off to bed, it's soothing fragrance actually gives me a sound sleep n helps me to calm my senses. 

When I bought this product I never thought it could do anything with the stress tag but it definitely kept its promise. It's a wonder product that does it works by providing long lasting moisture n also relieves the stress with its awesome fragrance.

It's not greasy either unlike many other body lotions. It dries up as soon as u spread it on your skin n leaves the soft moisture n a soothing scent.The fragrance stays all day long. And if you breathe in deeply, it truly relaxes the senses. It relaxes me and makes me feel fresh and clean. I also like the cooling sensation it gives my neck and hands. For me, this scent is for the nighttime.

Overall verdict: 

Does what it claims. Perfect combination for a body lotion with long lasting hydration n fragrance. Unlike many other body lotions this lasts very long n if u always wanted a great smelling body lotion which gives moisture as well as fragrance , this one is for u.. N last but not the least, yes it truly relaxes your senses n makes u feel better.. Apply it while u study or before u sleep..

Avon Rose Petal Whitening Mask Review

How ru all doing? Hope good.. So today m gonna review an Avons whitening Rose Petal Mask.

Actually I got tempted seeing the color n gel texture.. I like avon products. I have used some products from skin care n what I like from avon are their lipsticks.. They actually cheap n best.. I Hv almost all the pinks n reds from Avon .. Anyways let's get back to the product being reviewed here. So let's start with the review..

Price: 299/- for 75 gms.

Packaging:

Comes in a round plastic container with the screw cap n label on the top.. There is a inner transparent lid above the product just to secure the leakage . Looks cute n I like the transparent container as the red gel can b visible from it which makes it more attractive.

My take on the product:

Packaging is absolutely tempting and the mask comes in gel consistency n the gel is red in color with Rose petals in it.. U can clearly see tiny pieces of Rose petals in the mask.. It also smells great.. I applied it n kept it for about 20 mins.. It dried n then I washed off as instructed.. For the first time I did not notice any difference accept the skin felt smoother.. It also gave a cooling n soothing effect . 

The product says that skin becomes whiter after two weeks of use but it's not mentioned how many times a week this can b used. But I think twice.. Or may b more but I prefer using twice.. I did use it twice n then I noticed my skin felt soft n smooth n it gave me a slight glow..

I don't know about whitening claim the product makes as it did not whiten anything .. It dint reduce any scars or any uneven skintones or lighten my skin .. It's just an mask from natural rose n rose hips.. It also contains vitamin c which might further make any changes to my skin as the product says but for now it dint do any wonder for me.. 

I actually expected a lot from this mask but it's nothing special.. I've used much better n effective face masks than this so for me it's a total nayyy!! All though I loved its packaging n smell it's of nothing great for me.. I might use this more further n let's hope it does something good to my skin as the brand claims.. 

Cons:

Does not lighten or whiten my skin as the product claims.

Expensive for the effect it offers .

Not easily available, only through avon representatives .

My 2013 Favorites

Today m gonna do an interesting post.. It's about my favorites top 20 products from 2013.. I've been loving these products all the year.. I hope u people like it .. Check these out n let me know what r your favorites..

1. Too Faced Candlelight Glow Highlighter:

I've reviewed this product few months ago but I've been using this since the starting of the year.. It's the amazing highlighter. It's neither sparkly nor glittery, it gives the exact enough glow needed with very subtle shimmer.. I highly recommend everyone who want a good highlighter.. It's half side is champaigne gold n half is pinky. Perfect for every skintone.. I've reviewed it  here.

2. Lakme Absolute Mattreal Skin Matural Mousse:

I love love this light coverage mousse.. It's so soft n smooth in application that I just keep blending n blending.. It's very light weight n I hardly feel anything on my face. I use it most of the time.. It's perfect for day wear n may also b used in evenings if u don't require much coverage, it can also b used with a good concealer . I can't stop writing enough about this product.. I just loveeeee it.. 

3. Colorbar Perfect Match Primer :

This is another star product from the year.. Primers are quite expensive picks n primer is the base of the makeup n remember if the base is good then the makeup can b flawless.. No doubt il b soon buying a higher end primer , but for a low budget this primer is great.. It fills your pores n gives u a smooth clear canvas for makeup. Must buy product definitely.

4. Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer:

This is also a great product again, though m disappointed by the shade range I love this product. The shade m using is the lightest shade in the range n the second darker shade is very dark for me n the lighter shade is very light for me. But I kinda mix lil dark concealer to it n blend it to a perfect shade. It has good coverage even though being a highlighting concealer. Good for highlighting and countering.

5. Nyx Powder Blush in Peach:

Though the name is peach it's more of a pinky blush.. It's a very natural looking shade n gives your cheeks a perfect flush. This is only for fair skin tones as it's very light n might hardly show up on medium to dark skin tones.

6. Maybelline Cheeky Glow in Peachy Sweetie:

 This is again the best product from 2013 . A blush with awesome pigments in such a low price was unbelievable.. It's mustttt buy for everyone. It has three shades for all three skin tones light, medium n dark. This shade is perfect for fair to medium tones n looks great. Reviewed here

7. Colorbar Cheekillusion Blush in Coral Craving:

I m very scared in using dark blushes as they make me look dark.. M very fair n I don't like looking dark after the makeup.. This is one of the dark shade. It's an coral shade with orange undertones. But surprisingly this does not make me look dark. It looks great with red lips n smokey makeup when I cannot use pinky blushes. N it's amazing for parties.

8. Colorbar Ultimate Eyeliner :

This is my favorite not only for this year but it was my favorite even in 2012 . I've been very loyal to this sketch liner. It's very handy n sleek n also Jett black. It's tip is amazingly thin n also precise.. I'l b reviewing this very soon.

9. Oriflame Studio Artist Cream Blush in Pink Glow:

This is very beautiful shade launched by oriflame from its studio range. It also has two more shades n I bought even those two. But the peach one is not at all visible on my skin, n the warm pink is for medium to dark skintones. This is a very bright shade. N looks beautiful on my cheeks.. It does not show my scars or other flaws even after being a cream blush.. It's almost a liquid blush. 

10. Lakme 9 to 5 Lipstick in Blush Work:

This is a semi matte shade with some golden glitter n long lasting too.. They are reasonably priced n I can wear it both in day time n also for light evening parties.. M very fond of this range.. I own two shades from the range n this is my favorite.. It gives beautiful pink lips.. Reviewed here

11. Mac Ruby Woo Lipstick: 

This is a universal favourite.. This red is the most used , most bought n most lovable red shade. I just love this red n I undoubtly use this red whever I need red color on my lips.. I don't need to write much about this as m sure all makeup people r very much familiar with this shade.

12. Inglot Liquid Eyeliner in 42 Silver:

This liner is actually a black liner but it is named as silver as it has shimmer in it.. It's basically a black glitter liner .. This is a great liner for evening parties . It is a lil expensive bit totally worth it's price.. Reviewed here

13. Inglot AMC Eyeshadow pigments in 37 :

 This is my favorite gold pigmented eyeshades.. These pigments includes glitter n are high in pigments n gives me awesome metallic shade with fine glitter.. I will review these soon.. I have this in green , silver n purple shade too.. 

14. Mua Heaven and Earth Eyeshadow Palette:

This is my recent purchase but trust me m loving this palette .. It has all neutral shades n all are absolutely pigmented n m a big fan of neutrals . This palette can create natural to dramatic looks.. Awesome palette n cheap too.. Highly recommended.. Reviewedhere 

15. Lakme Absolute KOHL ULTIMATE:

This kohl is the most expensive kohl I ever purchased but I will re purchase it once I finish this, which I think will take lotta time.. But anyways it's really an ultimate kohl.. My waterline is so wet most of the time that no kohl can stick to it.. It definitely gets smudged or uneven n usually fades.. But this ultimate kohl does not smudge at all n does not even fade. Even though it texture is absolutely soft n creamy it is smudge free n stays in it's place for quite long.. I love it's long lasting power n also the sharpener n smudging tip at the top n bottom.. I love this pencil..

16. Bioderma Sensibio h20 Solution:

All mua swear by this product n so do I. It just removes every trace of your make up in a single wipe.. It's been so easy to remove makeup since I've started using this solution.. Even tough mascaras leaves no traces behind.. The only makeup remover I think il b using throughout my whole life.. :p

17. Moroccan Oil:

I can't thank enough to the person who invented this miracle oil.. I've rediscovered my hair through this.. I never thought my hair could b so manageable n shiny before using this oil.. It's created new waves in the world of hair care n the hype is actually worth it. Reviewed here

18. Bare Essentials Flat Kabuki Brush:

Since I haven't used any real technique or sigma brushes I cannot compare these brushes to them but yes I don't think I will buy those brushes for now, m that happy with this brush.. It comes in a pack of four n this particular brush is ideal for foundation.. It's my essential product in my makeup kit. Reviewed here

19. Colorbar Large Dual Fibre Stipppling Bruh 112:

This brush is from the professional range of Colorbar n rarely available at stores.. It's damn soft n light n I use this for applying my powder .. This is great light handed applicator n does not shed bristles at all.. 

20. Vega Contouring Brush:

This angled stiff brush is great for contouring.. I use this brush to apply bronzer for contouring under my cheeks n the sides of my nose.. The shape of this brush has made applying the bronzer quite easy n effortless.. Usually u tend to stretch the application n ruin the contour but this sleek brush fits into the required area.. M fan of this brush.. Very cheap n great for use..

21. Clinique Dramatically Different MOISTURISING Gel:

This is referred as moisture drink.. Since I have a combination skin type moisturizers are very troublesome for me.. They either clog my pores or give me breakouts.. But yes moisture is the need for every skin type even oily.. So this perfect tag moisturizer hydrates my skin without doing any harm on my combination skin.. My favorite light weight mattifying n shine free moisturizer .. Reviewed here

22. Oriflame Pure Skin Shine Control Cream:

This is awesome cream . It's purpose is mainly to give moisture but I use this for some other reasons. At the time when I have few breakouts or redness I apply this cream at night. Until morning all my pimples dry up n redness is gone!! It's best part is it is an matte cream which gives no shine n it controls oil n target pimples. I also use this under my makeup so that the makeup do not cause any breakouts n also controls my oil ..

23. Bath And Body Works Stress Relief Eucalyptus Spearmint Body Lotion:

I love this body lotion. The fragrance is sooo soothing n it really relieves my stress. Whenever m extremely tired or stressed I tk a hot shower n apply this lotion after the bath.. It gives moisture as well as calms down my senses.. It's a great lotion to b applied at night before u sleep. The scent lasts quite long ..

MUA Heaven and Earth Eyeshadow Palette Review n Swatches

This is my first review in this new year 2014.  Hope this year has started on a good note for u all. So today m gonna review a MUA eyeshadow palette which u might have seen in my previous posts in GOSF haul.. Well I got this palette in a huge discount.. of about 40% ..
So lets start with this amazing palette.

Price: 1050/- for 9.6g but I bought it in offer from jabong.com

Packaging:

Comes in a sleek palette of about 12 shades n a dual sided applicator brush.
This black palette has an transparent plastic flap cover . The only draw back in the packaging is the missing mirror. Otherwise the palette is travel friendly n compact .

Product claims :

A Beautiful collection of eyeshadows that will enhance your eyes to give the perfect natural look.

My take on the product :

It consists of 12 beautiful neutral shades. M sure u all must b familiar with urban decay naked palettes? This palette comprises of shades similar to them. While its other undress n undresses too palettes are absolute dupes for naked n naked 2 , this palette brings us closer to the natural looking palettes which consist of neutral browns, gold n coppers.

I love the shades in the palette.  All the shades are highly pigmented but darker shades are more better in pigmentation.
All the shades are shimmery which I am not a fan of but I dont mind having this palette for some amazing neutral collection. It can b used for creating a day look as well as evening look.. This palette can create simplest to the dramatically smokey eyes. . It has amazing lighter shades as well as darker ones. All the shades compliment each other very well n can also b paired with other bright colors too.

-1st shade is a shimmery silver which is great for highlighting inner corners of the eye n also on brow bone.

-2nd shade is a golden pink shade which can b used over the lid to create soft pink romantic look.

-3rd shade a yellow golden shade which I think will b the mostly used shade as golden can b paired up with several colors or singly used. This can also b used to highlight inner corners of the eye. 

-4th shade is very light champagne pinky shade.. its very subtle n can b used as highlighter ..

-5th shade is a light brown shade with copper shimmer .. it can b used to create smokey eyes n I think its the second darkest shade in the palette. 

-6th shade is a dark golden color which is also widely used alone. 

-7th shade is again a light brown shade which is mixture of gold n copper.. its very light n I think least pigmented one in the whole palette. 

-8th shade is my favorite shade. Its a different shade with mixtures of grey n gold with pink undertones. . It looks great on my eyes with a light gold highlighting shade.

-9th shade is a dark silver shade.. I m not much into silvers n dat too dark silvers so its least used shade for me.

-10th shade is a taupe shade with silver shimmer.. 

-11th shade is a light copper. Just a common copper.

-12th shade is a darkest shade in the palette.  Its a dark brown color .

Overall m impressed with the quality n price.. The fallout is very little. N they gives good color pay off without primer too n last about 3 to 4 hours. N with primer they may last about 5 to 6 hours.. All the swatches are without any primer.

Do i recommend this :

Yes I will definitely recommend this. Good quality for the peice. N wud b very beneficial if u buy in discount. . If u want this palette buy it from jabong.. its giving new year discount n also this particular palette is in of n abt 699 . So 699 plus 31% discount on it. So do buy it ryt now..
