St.Tropez Skin Illuminator in GOLD review n swatches

Posted by Unknown at 18:09 16 comments
Hello everyone,

I've been going crazy for blushes n highlighters lately.. I right now posses 4 awesome highlighters n this one is among one. This is a highlighter in golden shade from st.tropez brand . It comes in three shades that is Gold , Rose and Violet .. It's an international brand n not easily available in India. But u can always get this online. I bought mine from here.

So it's a lovely glowy highlighter. U always wondered the glow on Italian models ? It's never shimmery , infact it's always glowy. I always wished I had skin like them but then I gotta knew that it's not the skin it's the highlighter behind that awesome glow n this special highlighter is mostly used for Italian models..

So lets start the review:

Price: 1063/- for 50ml

Packaging:

The products come in a squeeze tube, and you can squeeze out a bit at a time, just enough for what you need, the tube is grey in color with a white screw cap. Packaging is normal in a decent tube with no speciality.. Looks very unattractive to me compared to other highlighter I have. Since this is a liquid highlighter it comes in a tube.

Ingredients:

Aqua (Water), Cyclopentasiloxane, Phenyl trimethicone, Ethylhexyl palmitate, Glycerin, Cetyl PEG/PPG - 10/1 dimethicone, Mica, Cera alba (Beeswax), Benzimidazole diamond amidoethylcarbamoylpropyl polymethylsilsesquioxane, Cetyl dimethicone, Polyglyceryl-3 oleate, Sodium chloride, Hydrogenated castor oil, Benzyl alcohol, Silica, Parfum (Fragrance), Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Coumarin, Eugenol, Geraniol, Hexyl cinnamal, Limonene, Linalool, Alpha-isomethyl ionone, CI 77891 (Titanium dioxide).

Product claims:

St.Tropez Skin Illuminator Gold gives the skin a gorgeous finish by highlighting and defining facial contours.
Skin Illuminator Gold gives the illusion of effortlessly polished skin whilst giving a gently flushed appearance when applied to the cheekbones, bridge of the nose and the Cupid’s bow on the lips.

My take on the product:

This is my first liquid highlighter, this is very sheer n perfect for a day look n also for evening wear for the people who prefer subtle highlighting with just a hint of glow. When I first opened the seal of the tube I was flattered with the amazing fragrance it has.. It feels so refreshing invigorating smell. It can b compared to Mac's strobe cream or Nars illuminators, but more natural looking Illuminator I can say. It gives you a very natural glow which can make your skin look awesomely glowy n dewy ..
If you wear HD makeup for photo shooting, this one may not suit you because it's a little too natural. But for everyday makeup, it's wonderful.. They describe the gold one for medium to tan skin but m myself pale skin but this gives me perfect golden glow without making me look bronzed or dark so I say it can b used on both fair to medium skin tones. While Rose one is only for very pale skins like British whites.. As it may look drastically pink on fair Indian skin tone.
Very little is enough for the whole face.. Just 2drops can give a perfect highlighting all over my nose , forehead n cheekbones..
It contains light golden shimmer which is hardly visible to eyes on skin after blending, all it leaves on your skin is a dewy effect .. It can b used as a highlighter or can b mixed with your bob cream or foundation to add a radiance all over your face. I swear by this product as it really gives u a very subtle glow n dewy look.
It's an ideal piece for people with dry skin n combination too.. Oily skin people can use powder highlighter instead of liquids as this may give u oily effect.
But if you use any oil controlling serum under your foundation then even oily skin can also carry off these with an ease.
Being a liquid highlighter it's not even sticky or greesy. It just disappears in your skin n leave an instant glow.

Cons:

Availability in India
Bit expensive for an sheer highlighter
Sheer highlighter, not for bridal wear or evening look

Rating:4.25/5

Do I recommend :
Yes for daily wear I will highly recommend this.

Will I purchase again?
Yes definitely after my tube ends but that may take a very long time..

LUSH Flying Fox Shower gel review

Posted by Unknown at 19:56 1 comments
Hey everyone how ru doing?
Well today I've come up with a review of a product from a famous n my favorite brand LUSH.
As u all know LUSH is a brand best known for Fresh Handmade Natural Cosmetics Complete range of natural handmade bath and body products including handmade natural soaps, bath bombs etc..
I love this brand as the products from this brand are cruelty free n handmade.
My obsession to the fragrance of jasmine pulled me towards Flying fox among all other shower gels.
Let's start with the review .

Price:
100gms for INR560, 250gms for INR 1220, 500gms for INR 1890.

Ingredients:

Packaging:

Comes in a tinted plastic bottle with a black flip cap. The gel is of dark brownish red color. N looks like a honey inside the tinted bottle. Comes in three sizes 100gms, 250gms and 500gms .. I took the 250gms one.

What the lush claims:

Mood-altering aphrodisiac honey shower gel
Instead of smashing plates or saying regrettable things, take a moment to cool off (or heat things up) in the shower with Flying Fox shower gel. The masses of sensual jasmine, ylang ylang and palmarosa oils work to relax your frazzled mind and a triple helping of honey keeps your skin cleansed, soft and sweet, even when your mood isn’t. But we’re pretty confident that the aphrodisiac fragrance will be enough to quell the darkest of spirits. Even better resolution to a bad mood? Share your shower and make things right standing up – washing their back of course!
Share a shower with our Flying Fox to send your spirit soaring. Our Foxy shower gel has the stunningly sensual scent of jasmine, ylang, cypress and palmarosa. It is so relaxing that even the most frantic, frazzled person will relax into a restful mood after a warm shower. Our boss, Mark C, originally thought that it’d suit stroppy women prone to moods. By all means, write to him with your opinions on that.
Look out there's probably a bee behind you !! This exquisite and luxurious shower gel is packed with so much of honey, the bees keep trying to take it back.
My review on the product:
Firstly I love the way they describe their product .. It's a very unique way of attracting the customers. The packaging is normal like all others n travel friendly n the consistency is neither thick nor thin but it's little runny though but lathers well.. N very little is enough ..
The smell is very strong floral jasmine smell. It clearly gives a fragrance of jasmine n honey n it's a freshly sweet smell. It says it can b used on hair and body both but I dint try on the hair yet n the smell is strong n last for two to three hours into the skin n smell lingers for a long time into the bathroom. It's really long lasting among any shower gel I ever tried.. It's the best smelling shower gel according to me from lush n also best fragrance for winter n cold days. It comes in three variants and you can buy according to your preferences .. But according to me it's worth the every penny it costs .
It makes the skin really clean n smooth n does not dry up your skin . This is the best part about the shower gel as in winter skin dries up n shower gels ripps off the moisture n oils from your body but since this contains honey n essential oils it keeps the skin soft n supple..
Cons:
Nothing at all !!

Makeup Essential Brushes Review

Posted by Unknown at 20:34 0 comments
Hi everyone ,
Today m gonna review make up brushes I bought from eBay .. But before that m gonna thank ANKITA from corallista.com , she used them n displayed in her post. She also posted a
Iink below her article so I just bought from that link.
It took little while for about 15days to deliver.
They were non branded brushes n came into two variants white n black. I chose the white color. The set comprises of about 4 brushes.
They are thick with dense bristles . Four brushes consist of flat  kabuki foundation blush, domed shape blush brush, angled brush for contour and tampered highlighter brush.

Price:1500 /- for the set of four brushes.

Packaging:

They came in a transparent covers wrapped with bubble wrapper .. Since it was a courier. They are thick wooden handles with thick synthetic bristles..

My Experience:

The handles are made of thick wooden .. The bristles are synthetic so they do not hold any product onto them.. They blend well n does not shed any bristles.. I will describe each brush briefly below..

Flat kabuki Foundation brush:

This dense brush is a flat brush with dense bristles. I use this for buffing foundation n the flat top helps the the foundation settle into the skin n buffs well.. This works great with the cream n liquid foundation. I found this brush totally perfect for every foundation powder, liquid or cream .. It's an ideal blush for blending foundation.

Domed blush brush:

This brush is domed blush brush which I think can b used for multiple purposes. It can b travel friendly wen u cannot carry multiple brushes this brush can b used for everything. Foundation, blush and contour. I use this for everything ..

Angled contour brush:

This brush is perfect for contouring . The fluffiness of this brush makes blending effortless.  Also, the precision of the angle makes it perfect for applying color to the cheeks and adding highlight to the cheek bones. It gives perfect angle to apply bronzer in hallow of the cheeks.

Tampered highlighting brush:

This is perfectly tampered into an egg shape. It can apply blush, I really feel like it's ample size for applying all over face powder or bronzer... as well as a highlight, for that matter. But I use this for highlighting since it has precised tip.

Overall verdict:

Totally perfect brushes for the price value, as Mac , sigma or real techniques costs about 1500 per brush while set of four costs around 1500. So awesome brushes for the price value. Great quality without any shedding of bristles.
Quality n application both are great..

L'Oreal Paris Youth Code youth boosting cream EYE

Posted by Unknown at 15:59 2 comments
Hello all beautiful people,

Hw ru doing ?.. I've been a lot in skin care lately. So today I Hv come up with a review of an eye cream from loreal. This is an anti aging product. I have never used any anti aging products but I've heard ppl say to start using anti aging from your late twenties. Since m still in my early twenties it's not for me. So I started testing it on my mom for the review. She has light dark circles due to her late night sleeping schedule n also fine lines. So after hearing positive points from many people I decided to buy this product.

Price:800/- for 15ml

What company claims:

L'Oreal Youth Code Eye Cream gives you rejuvenated skin within just one hour! With over ten years of clinical studies and extensive research into genes, L'Oreal have decoded the secret to younger looking skin! L'Oreal Youth Code Anti-Wrinkle Eye Cream helps fight, repair and protect the delicate eye area from the visible signs of ageing including crows feet and fine lines, leaving your eyes looking younger and more radiant than ever before.
Luxurious illuminating texture which melts into the skin enveloping it with moisture.
1-hour skin feels smoother n hyderated
1-week the eye area appears more rested n looks radiant
1-month wrinkles , dark circles n under eye bags a appear visibly reduced
Skin looks rejuvenated
The moisturising formula helps improve the skin's ability to behave more youthfully and is enriched with L'Oréal Paris' patented Pro-GenTM technology.
Directions:
Apply Youth Code Eye Cream daily, morning and/or evening, around the eye contour area.

Packaging:

Comes in cute square white color jar with a glossy black screw cap. I really like the jar , looks very edgy n cute. But it's a glass jar which might break if fallen n little unhygienic to dig your fingers to get the cream.

My experience with the product:

Firstly it's fragrance free. The cream texture is neither very thick nor very thin n comes in a very pale pink shade. Very little can go a long way. It gets absorbed into the skin very soon n gives a MOISTURISING effect instantly.. It can  b smoothly blended n does not make your eye area sticky or greasy.
So when She started using this product I found it to b very hydrating n as claimed by the brand it really made the area soft n smooth.. After regular use of the product I felt her eye area to b lifted n radiant, and I felt her skin tighter firmer n radiant.
As far as dark circles are concerned they did become light but after a long time n that too just little difference. It did not make her dark circles disappears totally. But yeah it definitely lightened the area.
But it had more effect on skins firmness n elasticity ..
I really think it did bring lotta difference in the eye area n continuous use may enhance more.

Cons:

Expensive
Not that effective on dark circles
Only for the people above 30's
Comes in a jar which is unhygienic , I wud have preferred a tube.

Overall view:

Good for the people with fine lines n wrinkled skin, definitely good for mature skin . But buy it only if u really need an eye cream..

The body shop MORINGA shower gel review

Posted by Unknown at 21:18 0 comments
Hi everyone,
Today m gonna review a TBS shower gel, THE BODY SHOP is my favorite brand when it comes to bath n skin care products after LUSH . So today m gonna review the shower gel in MORINGA..

Price: 395/- for 250ml

Product claims:

This soap-free shower gel contains real moringa seed oil and has the delicate scent of white flowers.
  • Soap-free
  • Lather-rich
  • Delicate floral scent
Ingredients:

Aqua, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Glycerin, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Polysorbate 20, Mel, Sodium Chloride, Citric Acid, PEG-18 Glyceryl Oleate/Cocoate, Parfum, Myristamidopropyl PG-Dimonium Chloride Phosphate, Phenethyl Alcohol, Caprylyl Glycol, p-Anisic Acid, Propylene Glycol, Linalool, Hexyl Cinnamal, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Disodium EDTA, Benzyl Salicylate, Geraniol, Moringa oleifera, Sorbitol, Caramel, CI 19140.

Packaging:

Comes in a transparent bottle with a flip cap. The bottle is recyclable .. ingredients come on in a peel off stickers . N the expiry is engraved on the bottle.

My experience with the product:

M very fond of shower gels with strong long lasting smells. I chose MORINGA as it's a very floral but strong smelling shower gel. It smells like strong jasmine n MORINGA flowers, it takes me to my childhood days when we had jasmine plant with beautifully smelling flowers. It's really fresh summery smell which can invigorate your mind n body..
The lasting power is obviously very less , it may last for about an hour or two after your bath. It can b lasting if used with the body butter of the same MORINGA n mist ..
It lathers heavily with a wet loofah , n little can b enough for whole body. I don't find them drying which many other shower gels do. They are really MOISTURISING but u definitely need a moisturizer for skin.

Cons:

Contains SLS
Some people might feel very strong

Overall view:

Nice fragrance , might refreshes the body , does not leave the skin dry , affordable n little can go a long way, cruelty free..

My vellvette bag- November

Posted by Unknown at 01:24 3 comments
Hi people..
I no m late for the month of November's vellvette bag. But I had issues with bag so took some time.. Actually I recieved my bag with a damaged lispstick so they replaced it with a new one n that took little time So I got late to publish this post.
So here I m with my vellvette bag update. .
So finally this time after a long disappointment m finally happy with my bag. This time I got good products .
Well the theme was band baja baraat.. the products best suited the theme n were actually the basics for a marriage festival.
The bag was a zipper bag in pink color with black polka dots n looked good. I think this is the best packaging since the bags started.

I got the 3 product with 1 bonus product.
1- Flormar deluxe shine gloss lipstick in Dc-35
2- I love strawberry & milkshake shower gel
3- Thalgo votre pore shrink toner

The bonus product is mary kay intense night cream.

Flormar deluxe shine gloss lipstick- dc 35

Flormar is a French cosmetic brand, n this deluxe shine lipstick is a nature enriched with argan oil , vitamin n cocoa butter which is hydrating n nourishing .
But personally I don't prefer gloss or glossy stuff n this is a gloss in lipstick. So it's quite messy n thick n sticky.. This is the only product I dint like. It's total waste for me. It is a red shade in gloss. I got a full size sample which original price costs about 700/- for 3gm.

I Love strawberry & milkshake shower gel

This is a sample size in in 50ml. It comes in several flavors. I wud prefer buying other versions. This strawberry n milkshake version is not that awesome but neither bad.. I wud definitely try other soon. It's a well known shower gel brand . The packaging is really tempting . Full size cost around 795/- for 550ml , n 250/- for 100ml.

Thalgo votre pore shrink toner

The best thing I like about this product is that it's Parabens free n cruelty free. M yet to try this product n il surely review it soon. It's made of botanical extracts .. It claims to minimize pores. Comes in a blue color liquid n smells good n is really strong.

Bonus product Mary Kay extra emmollient night cream

This is a bonus product I got n it's a night cream or basically a moisturizing cream. It's too thick n oily so I don't prefer using on face as I have an oily face so I used it as a lip balm on my lips. N it is really great for lips or hands. . I like it . The smell is most of the grandmas cosmetics type, it might annoy few people but I like it..

Overall it's a good bag n my subscription ends this month n I m gonna review it again n give it a chance again. Hope for the best in future..
