Fab Bag Feb 2014

Hello everyone,
Today m gonna review my fab bag for the month of February .. M vry busy with my marrg things n thats the reason m juz apploading the pics of wat I got n not going into details..

Overall this months bag was aamazing. Aftr a long time I recieved some good products in my bag n specially no body lotions n shower gels. .

The products I recieved this month are

-Cataphil moisturizing lotion n cleansing lotion.
-Tommy G women lip gloss dual sided.
-Just herbs anti blemish kit with gel , cream n a mask.

There wer 2 bonus items this month..
One was a cokie man cookies.
Other was vivel cell reniew kit.

I liked the pavkaging too fr this month as it came in red n black checks bag .. All the products wer amazing n I loved anti blemish kit as m facing lil breakouts this month so the cataphil products are also useful.. n that dual ended lip gloss is amazing as its matte from the color side n the transparent gloss on other side .

The cookies wer adorable in heart shape but came broken ��
Vivel kit smells good n I vl review them after my use..

Overall in love with fab bag this month �� .
Hope they continue the same..

N sorry fr being irregular but plz bear with for the month of march n april.. I promise u ppl wont hv to complain me aftr that..

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder Review & Swatch

How ru u ppl doing?? M alhamdulillah doing great.. Well as I mentioned in my earliar post m buying a lot of makeup for my wedding vanity from international brands .. So if got this compact from feelunique.com as this shade is not available on sassy.com as well as  nykaah.com so I got this from this international web side which also delivers to india. N to my surprise the website do not cost any extra shipping charges n also delivers pretty soon.

So let's start with the review,

Price: 3$ 

Ingredients:

Packaging:

Comes In a basic round pan with a clear lid top that has no secure locking mechanism of any kind. The pan which looks quite cheap but since the product itself is very cheap I don't mind how the packaging until the product is good.. The logo of rimmel brand is encrypted on the powder which looks very classy although. But the pan is quite cheap n the lid is transparent with the label on it.. The shade name n details are behind the pan on its base. It does not provide any brush or puff with it but I prefer using my own brushes . And yes, it does and will come off if you try to toss it in your makeup bag. Definitely not travel-friendly. The compact (can I really call it a compact?) also feels very fragile like it’s going to crack any second if you drop it. But guess what, I’m not going to complain because this powder really does wonders at keeping my skin matte and for the price? Go ahead and crack, I’ll just get a new one!

My take on the product:

It comes in 6 shades n I chose the transparent one which is 01 the first shade.. It's not exactly transparent but a very light shade with very light coverage .. It blends well into my nc20 skin n does not change the color of my foundation or bb cream.. 

It does not hide much but u can build up for extra coverage. It does not look cakes even if u layer it more n looks absolutely natural n gives a nice matte look. 
It's not powdery or chalky n blends well with a nice dual fiber stipple brush. 

It absorbs the oil well even after being so light. It gives an even look to the face n it's basically a setting powder than a good coverage compact.

Coming to the staying matte challenge , yes it really keeps your face matte for a very long time.. 
I don't know about all day long but yes atleast from morning to noon n if applied in evening it stays till late night.. It's ideal for evening parties where u face lights n t zones shine . 
This really keeps the face matte easily all the party long.. N it may require a touch up if used whole day long.. 

Considering it's price it's the best of the best oil control powder in the market.. I Hv tried many high end brands too but this cheap drugstore product exeeds my expectations n pass with a big hit.

Cons:

May not b travel friendly but u cannot complain for the price it offers n also it's great quality.

Overall verdict: 

Definitely a must have even if u have high end powders . There's no harm in keeping this cheap product for handy touch ups.. I highly highly recommend this to combination to oily skin types.. Overall I say the best powder in this price n also I think best when compared to all high end oil control powders..

Rating: 4.75/5 ( for packaging ;p) 

Will I purchase again? Yes, definitely until I discover any better .

International Haul & Cherry Culture Website Review

Hello everyone,
How are u ppl..?? M doing good n extremely busy wid preparations. As I told u all the news is m gonna get married nxt month..
M busy with all the preparations n shopping.  M also stocking up my vanity wid lots of new makeup products.
M disappointedd by that.. online shopping n iv discovered some great websites for shopping makeup online.. today m reviewing a website called cherryculture.com
It has all great brands like nyx, millani rimmel, etc.. 

I did some shopping in an offer period in which I got 20% off on my total bill..

I bought some good nyx products n milani too..
The only thing I dislikes was shipping charges.  I was charged 13$ for shipping.  But then I wanted those products badly n since I live in hyderabad where der is no sephora or international brands online shopping becomes must for a makeup lover.
But alhamdulillah iv stocked up every must hv products frm any international brands easily through online shopping..
I posses all the products which a makeup bloggers frm UK or US may have..
For now heres the sneak pic of my haul n I vl review them each one by one..

M quite impressed with the packaging n quality. I got all products safe n also quite soon.. my order got dispatched on 10th n i recieved it today on 18th.. M vry happy i chosethis products.. but only milani liners are quite dried in texture .. m very disappointed by these two liners but i loved the shades of them.. overall good experience.. 

My Envy Box Feb Edition Review

Hello everyone..

Today m gonna review my first envy box.. I've subscribed to this box reading the great reviews by my fellow bloggers.. So here's the valentines month envy box..

Price: 850/- for 1 month subscription 

M quite impressed with the products n quality, quantity is very less but m glad they serve better brands.

They also promised to include some great makeup brands in the coming months. M exited to c some luxurious makeup. 

I've got decent size 5 samples n one free for valentines month special. It's an perfume sample for men by Givenchy.. 

The brands I got samples from for this month are Forest Essential , Thalgo , Givenchy , Eminence Organics and Crabtree & Evelyn.

Packaging: 

Comes in a square box in nice peach color with black label of the brand name. The lid is closed with a magnetic case . Once u open the box there's a beautiful multicolored mosaic print cloth pouch. All the products are within the pouch n the best thing about the box was it's fragrance. The box smelled awesome as soon as I opened it ..

My take on the box:

The products I got are:

1-Forest Essentials Lip Balm- sugared rose petal 5gm , Rs.595/-

I got a full size of this one. It smells amazing.. Like a real rose petals , it's soft pink in color . I usually don't prefer pot balms as they aren't that hygienic .. But this smells sooo good m happy I don't mind..

2-Eminence Organics- Chocolate Mousse Hydration Masque, 60ml Rs.4393/-

I got a sample size of this which is very small :( might b only one use or two but it's written 4 uses on the card.. Let's use n try .. But it smells delicious like a chocolate n I can't resist myself from applying or eating it :p will review this after the use.. The ingredient list consist of macadamia , almond n jojoba oil.. All are pretty useful for the skin purpose.

3-Thalgo Oxygen SOS Serum 30ml Rs.3125/-

I got two samples of 2ml each . It's a oxygen serum for face. It claims to eliminate toxins n boosts radiance . It provides additional oxygen to the skin which is lost by the polluted environment . Will review this after use.. It may give 4 uses.

4-Crabtree & Evelyn Hand Therapy 100ml Rs.1295-1395/-

I got a sample of 25gms in Himalayan Blue fragrance. I like the size after seeing small 2ml sized tubes. The fragrance is more of a grand maa's cosmetics . It claims to moisturize the hands n it's an award winning product. I applied a tiny bit on my hands n noticed a smooth texture n my hands felt soft n smooth.. 

5-Givenchy Dahlia Noir Leau 50ml Rs.4745/ 125ml Rs.7499

Obviously I got a sample of this which is 1ml in size n i like strong floral fragrances so it's perfect for me . I loved it n il surely buy the full size in this. It's an elegant refreshing citrus fragrance. It's gonna b a perfect wear for summer..

Now this is a extra product which is said to b given as a gift to my valentine :p

Givenchy Gentlemen Only- for that spl man in your life!

Again a sample of 1ml n smells great. It's a nice woody fragrance with classic freshness. Perfect for his summer times.. 

Overall I loved the box n all the products , atleast m happy that I got to see some variety unlike my vellvette box which only sends me body lotions, body butters n shower gels. M gonna re subscribe for 6 months now. The only thing I want more is some more of brands n some makeup which they promised to add some in few coming months.. What more can I ask in luxury !! If u want a luxury sample box yhen go get this.. Its worth all the money.. :)

Overall verdict: 4.5/5

0.5 gets minus fr not including makeup..

Today m gonna review a face countering kit from sleek. Countering has become a latest trend in makeup world n it really enhances your facial features but the bet is to do it right.. Il also b posting a tutorial for countering soon. But for now have look at the palette.

How To Use:

Step One:

Prep your skin ensuring face and neck are clean and dry.

Step Two:

Apply foundation of choice to create a smooth and even complexion.

Step Three:

To achieve great cheek definition, using a small contour brush, apply the contour powder, starting from the ear and gently blending torwards the direction of your mouth, building definition as desired and blending as you to go, to ensure all lines are soft.

Step Four:

For Face Form in Fair/Light apply blush to apples of cheeks using contour brush or blush brush, ensuring you blend as you go, erasing all hard lines.

For Face Form in Medium/Dark apply bronzer to cheeks, nose, forehead and chin sparingly to add that sunkissed look.

Step Five:

Finally, apply the highlighter lightly to the apples of the cheeks for a highlighted contour creating soft, yet defined and sculpted cheekbones.

Packaging:

Comes in standard black matte casing similar to that of other Sleek products , it's actually very sleek and classy palette containing three different items, a countour powder which is a light brown bronzer, a highlighter n a blush.. The brand name is embossed in glossy writing on the top of the case, the flip cover of the palette contains a decent sized mirror all over the cover which I find very useful n big enough to use.. It's very travel friendly n compact to use n carry.. There is no brush provided in the palette which I actually don't mind as I prefer using my own brushes.

My Take On The Product:

Much like the contour kit, the Face Form palette includes both a contour and a highlight shade. However, there’s also the addition of a blush or a bronzer depending on which shade you opt for.

There are four shades available – Fair, Light, Medium and Dark. 

The two palettes for lighter skin tones include Sleeks infamous Rose Gold blush whilst the Medium and Dark palettes include a shimmery bronzer.

It's basically a dupe for Nars Orgasm. I will compare nars orgasm n sleeps rose gold soon ..

Let's study the shades closely,

Countering Powder:

This is a very good countering shade for fair to medium skin tones, it's neither very dark nor light. It does not contain any orange undertones unlike other countering shades. It's a total matte powder n isn't chalky too. 

It creates perfect shadow look to Accenture your cheeks n give a look of deeply set hallows of your cheek.. It's highly pigmented so b very light handed.. 

I sweep them lightly in the hallows of my cheeks n then blend them perfectly .. Blending is the key to the perfect look if not the partitions n sharp edges of the countering powder n blush may make u look ugly .. Overall very good shade as I personally don't like dark powders to steal my fairness :p

Blush In Rose Gold:

This was like one of my dream blush.. It's highly raved n loved product by makeup bloggers n mua for creating that high end look with a drugstore product.

It's mostly said to b an dupe for Nars Organsm which I may compare later. It's a beautiful coral brush with golden shimmer in it.. 

It looks gorgeous on brides n trust me when I used it for the first time I could not see any application of blush.. It made my look so natural as if I had that tint on my cheeks, it blends so naturally into my cheeks n gives a flawless look. 

The shimmer is so subtle that it only adds a beautiful golden glow n u don't need any highlighter on your cheeks after this blush.

This is my favourite thing in the whole palette.. M going mad over this.. Amazingggg product. Must must have. 

This blush is also available in singles too. So if u don't want the countering kit u can buy this alone. It may cost u around 7$

Highlighter:

Highlighter is perfect for fair skin with. It's a beautiful champagne shade that works really well with my skin tone. Its very finely milled and pigmented too so it gives my skin a lovely ‘lit from within’ type glow instead of it being too shimmery or glittery.

There is shimmer in it but not glittery. The shimmer is very subtle. Looks great after blending it . Apply it to the top of your cheek bones above your blush. It gives a nice healthy glow. 

My take on the palette: 

Amazing, awesomely pigmented, long lasting n absolutely perfect kit for countering n travel friendly. 

Multi purpose palette.

Cons: None

Will I purchase again:

If at all I loose my palette I might otherwise I don't need to as they will last very long. N I wud definitely try more shades from the range..
